Founder & Clinical Director
La Faune Gordon, Ph.D., M.S.

Dr. Gordon, a licensed clinical psychologist, offers over 30 years of culturally-sensitive, specialized intervention for at-risk or trauma-affected infants, young children, and families. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters degrees in both Psychology and Clinical Psychopharmacology. As a California-endorsed Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist, Dr. Gordon has multiple certifications including Infant Massage Instruction (WINC), Clinical Trauma Specialist, Effective Black Parenting Instructor, and Parent Educator for Make Parenting a Pleasure (MPAP). She is also an advanced level provider of Developmental Individual Relationship (DIR) Floortime. With over two decades of supervisory and consultation experience in public and private sectors, she has delivered numerous presentations, trainings, and workshops.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Supervisor
LaJoi Lewis, Psy.D.
Dr. LaJoi Lewis, with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and over 15 years of experience, specializes in working with children across a spectrum of developmental capacities. She is dedicated to offering clinically sound and culturally sensitive interventions as well as educational services to individuals and communities. Beyond her expertise in managing mental health clinicians, Dr. Lewis's professional interests include conducting trainings, offering mentorship, and providing mental health consultation services.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist/Supervisor
Brigitt Lamothe-François, Ph.D.
Dr. M. Brigitt Lamothe-François, a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience, serves as a psychotherapist, clinical trainer, and professor. An alumnus of Texas A&M University and Cal State University, Northridge, her expertise lies in employing a blend of RCT, CBT, Family Systems, Attachment, and Trauma Informed techniques with mindfulness practices. Dr. LF places a strong emphasis on understanding her clients' intersecting identities and their impacts on relationships. At Creating Families Together.org, she facilitates Intercultural Engagement Seminars and champions a multicultural lens in her work, promoting a deeper comprehension of the experiences of diverse families.
Clinical Trainees
Past Clinical Trainees, from prestigious institutions across Southern California and Minnesota, have made a lasting impact on Creating Families Together.org and the communities we serve. Our trainees typically come from Alliant International University, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), The Chicago School - Anaheim & Los Angeles Campus, and University of Southern California (USC).
